Things to know before you purchase a pool

Have your yard inspected by calling the Diggers Hotline (1.800.242.8511) to ensure you have adequate space to install your swimming pool.

Consult with your local municipality in regards to zoning restrictions / ordinances that may prevent installation of a swimming pool. You will also need to apply for a building permit before the installation process can begin.

Buyer Beware! You get what you pay for! This is especially true with above-ground swimming pools. The lower the price, the lower the quality. The lower the quality, the more headaches you are going to have. My advice is to not buy into a "sale of a lifetime," because it's not worth it. An above-ground pool can last you all of 20-plus years if it is of good quality, installed properly, and maintained properly. Do some research before you buy, and be wary of the retailer that is offering the deal of a lifetime.
